Kate MacRitchie, previously Oonagh Moon, is a Scottish Folklore Author who crafts magical fantasy stories. Her Story The Duke With Opals For Eyes is inspired by Scottish folklore and is part of the magical “Fireside” world. It is a prequel to “The Traveller’s Curse” found in her short story collection Fireside Fairy Tales.

Kate MacRitchie needed a book cover that spoke of the magical nature of her story so I created an illustrated cover featuring elements of her story and used hand drawn typography as a basis for the final title text.
